    How to score high in General Awareness section of SSC CHSL 2019 exam?





    For every aspirant concern, we should inform you that SSC CHSL application form 2019 will be available from March 5, 2019 on SSC official website. The candidates can apply in online mode only and the last day to apply for SSC CHSL 2019 EXAM is April 4, 2019. The General Awareness Section is considered to be most scoring section and carries 50 marks with 25 questions, each question carrying 2 marks. As the syllabus of this section is elaborate, this section can be complicated at times, if you do not have a good preparation strategy. After understanding and examining the syllabus and exam pattern, it is advised that you should pay adequate importance to significant topics.
    Commonly speaking, the candidates should have good knowledge of current affairs, Indian politics and constitution, static GK, important events and happening worldwide, scientific developments and inventions etc. In this article, we will discuss topic-wise importance of every prescribed topic.

    After meticulously examining previous year papers, we have broadly divided the General Awareness section into three parts- Static General Knowledge (GK), Science and Miscellaneous.

The Science part covers around 5 to 10 marks and frequently asked questions are from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer & Technology, Disease & Pollution and Nutrition.     Ultimate Tips to score high in General Awareness in SSC CHSL 2019
    1. As we have scrutinized previous year papers for judging importance of each topic in this section, you are advised to study and examine previous year papers to understand the difficulty level of question paper and get effective SSC CHSL Test Series.
    2. The most significant tip is to develop a habit of reading English newspapers and informative magazines (Competition Success Review) on daily basis. You should daily make list of important event, news and happening worldwide as questions are generally asked from recent held events and news.
    3. For studying Static GK, you should buy and refer standard textbooks which should carry all the important information and knowledge pertaining to historical events, names, places, event, geographical facts, details of Indian polity and constitution, scientific facts and figures etc.
    4. In Miscellaneous part, you should try to focus on topics like first in Sports for India and World like First Olympics, First Asian Games etc, Famous Sea Ports, Airports and their locations, Important Institutions of India and World & their locations (like BRICS, World Bank, IMF and RBI etc.), Nobel Laureates & their Fields, Union Budget, Demonetization and Economic Survey, Important Books & Writers etc.
    5. In SSC CHSL exam, the time management is very important and so make sure that you do not spend more than 30 seconds on one question through SSC Coaching Chennai.
    6. You should avoid making guess work as there is negative marking in the exam. You can use elimination method of solving if you can opt out irrelevant choices otherwise do not attempt question.
