It is conducted every year to recruit candidates in various non-technical posts of Group B and Group C in Central Government. CGL exam is conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Grade, Auditors/ Inspectors of Income Tax/Central Excise, Sub-Inspectors in Central Police Organisations (Assam rifles, BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB) and CBI, /Upper Division Clerks, Divisional Accountants etc.

    1. CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level)
    CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) is highly spirited competitive exam to recruit Lower Division Clerks and Data Entry Operators in various Government Departments. The minimum qualification for any candidate to appear in this SSC conducted exam is to have passed 10+2 exam.

    1. MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff)
    MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) is a competitive exam where SSC recruit subordinate staff in various central government departments as well as organizations. For any candidate to appear in MTS exam, the basic qualification is to have passed the Matriculation examination or equivalent from a recognized board.

    1. Junior Engineer Examination
    Junior Engineer Examination is conducted to recruit candidates in technical cadres of Group B. This SSC conducted competitive exam is done for the recruitment of engineers in Central Water Commission, Department of Posts, Central Public Works Department, Military Engineering Services etc.

    1. Stenographer (Grade C and Grade D)
    The competitive exam of Stenographer (Grade C and Grade D) is done for recruiting stenographer for various central government offices as well as attached subordinate offices. This SSC conducted exam is applicable for those candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with stenography skills. 

    1. SI in Delhi Police, CAPF and ASI in CISF
    SSC conducts this competitive exam to recruit and select personnel for various police organizations of the country such as Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Force, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Border Security Force (BSF), ITBP etc.

    1. Constable (GD) Examination
    The competition exam for Constable (GD) Examination is done by SSC to recruit constables in forces like BSF, ITBP, Assam Rifles, CRPF, SSB, NIA etc. The minimum qualification of the candidates for this Constable (GD) exam should be matriculation. The applicable candidate has to qualify physical efficiency and eligibility test and then has to appear in the written examination conducted for the recruitment.

    1. Junior Hindi Translator in Subordinate Offices / Ministry of Defence / Central Hindi Training Institute
    SSC conducts this open competitive exam every year to recruit translators in various organizations of the government. The appearing candidate has to be a graduate or post graduate with proficiency in Hindi or English. If a candidate wishes to apply for the post of Hindi Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Institute, then it is important that he should also have working experience.
