    How to Set up a Study Strategy for SSC CHSL Exam 2019?

    Tier I, the first written exam, will be computer-based test which will have objective type questions.
    Tier II, the second written exam, will be a descriptive exam in which students are expected to write an essay and an application.

    Tier 1 is an Objective Test
    It is divided into four sections
    1. Quantitative Aptitude
    2. General Intelligence
    3. English Language
    4. General Awareness
    Tier 2 is a Descriptive Test
    It includes Essay and Letter or Application either to be written in English or Hindi languages according to the language preference opted.

    Tier 3 is a Skill Test or Typing Test
    It has a Typing Test either in English Medium 35 words per minute or in Hindi Medium 30 words per minute as per the medium opted. Skill Test for Data Entry Operator comprises of 2000-2200 strokes which a candidate has to type within the prescribed time limit.

     Reading Comprehension
    In Reading Comprehension section, approximately five questions will be asked. The tips for reading comprehension are as follows:-

      2. The students should properly understand the facts idea or the main idea of the passage.
      3. The students should read the questions properly as it will help them reaching the answer while reading the entire passage.
      4. Do try to practice more as it will enhance your speed of reading and speed of solving the questions.
      5. The students should understand the results, implications and conclusion mentioned in the passage.
    Cloze Test
    In cloze test section, around five questions are predictable to be asked in the exam. Let us understand this section properly.

    Quantitative Aptitude
    In SSC CHSL Tier I exam, the Quantitative Aptitude section is expected to be the most challenging and time-consuming section. This can be most scoring section also where students can score 50 out of 50. There have been some changes made in the pattern of the questions asked in this section which has made it even more competitive for the students. The students should primarily focus on speed calculations and so try to learn squares, cubes, square root etc. It will assist you solve the questions in lesser time.

    In questions based on Time, Work & Wages, the questions asked will be of basic level but they will vary from shift to shift. The students should practice all types of questions of basic level.
    In questions based on Profit, Loss & Discount, the maximum questions asked will be formula based. You are expected to learn formula or short tricks by heart to get answers easily and accurately in the exam.
    General Awareness
    In the General Awareness section, the questions asked will be of 10+2 level. The answering will depend on your general knowledge. So, it is important to test your knowledge and avoid guess working, while answering questions. You should always start with easier questions. It will help you to solve the entire question paper in stipulated time. You are advised not to waste time on difficult questions. The questions in this section are meant to check student’s knowledge and awareness about current affairs.
